Upload a PDF of your existing unit planner, or paste the text below. The tool finds the labelled sections of a PYP (Central idea, Lines of inquiry…), MYP (Statement of inquiry, Key/related concepts, Global context…) or DP (Understandings, Transfer goals, Essential questions…) planner and maps them into a new unit in the matching planner. Anything it can't find shows as - not found - in the preview, so you can see the gaps and finish them in the planner.

✨ AI parse reads messy or unlabelled planners (tables, prose, OCR'd PDFs) and maps them for you. Parse & preview is the instant built-in parser for cleanly-labelled text, also used automatically if AI parsing is unavailable. The framework is detected from the text; correct it above if the guess is wrong.

Importing a planner

Three frameworks

PYP planners map to the PYP planner; MYP planners go to the subject planner you choose (Design, sciences, humanities, maths, or a process subject); DP planners go to the matching DP planner. Pick the target subject after choosing MYP or DP.

For a clean import

Upload a digitally-exported PDF (from ManageBac, Toddle, Word or Google Docs), its text is read automatically. Scanned/photographed PDFs have no text layer and can't be read; paste those instead. Keep each label on its own line (e.g. "Statement of inquiry:") for the best match.

Spotting gaps

After upload or paste, every field the parser can't find shows as - not found - in the preview, your checklist of missing planning elements to complete.

Then what?

Preview what was found, then create the unit and open it straight in its planner. Reference-only sections (e.g. DP content/skills lists) appear in the preview so nothing is silently dropped, and are finished by hand in the planner.
